Council House, Victoria Square 7.00pm, Thursday 26th August City Branch is hosting a special 'Coalition Event' at the Council House on Thursday 26th August, in conjunction with the local Liberal Democrats. Guests will hear from John Hemming MP (Liberal Democrat, Yardley) and a Conservative speaker (name to be confirmed). This is your chance to hear their views on the Conservative - Liberal Democrat coalition and ask your questions. The event starts at 7.30pm in Committee Rooms 3 and 4 at the Council House. Space is limited and we are allocating our tickets on a first-come, first-served basis. Tickets are just £5 each or free to paid up members of City Branch. Bennetts Hill, City Centre 9.00pm, Thursday 26th August Our regular monthly drinks, which is always on the last Thursday of the month, is taking place from 9.00pm on Thursday 26th August. We are starting slightly later this month because of our Coalition Event taking place on the same evening. The venue is The Wellington pub on Bennetts Hill, which has Birmingham's best selection of real ales. If you are coming to the Coalition Event (tickets still available), we'll be heading to the Wellington afterwards. Otherwise, please come along and join us at the Wellington from 9.00pm. Hill Street, off Victoria Square, City Centre 7.00pm, Thursday 29th July Join us at City Branch's regular drinks event, which is always on the last Thursday of the month. This month we are visiting Chameleon, the newest venue to open in the City Centre. Chameleon is located on Hill Street, just off Victoria Square. We will be there from 7.00pm on Thursday 29th July. This is a very informal event, so no need to RSVP, just come along and join us for a drink. If you haven't been to one of our drinks events before, the first drink is on us!
